Things To Do In January

While it is getting chilly outside and the snow can make it tough to go out, you don’t need to be cooped up at home all the time this winter. There are plenty of things to see and do. Below are just a few fun things to remember about this magical cold season.

You could try learning how to ski or snowboard with friends. Get a group together and go to Pine Knob or Mt. Holly, the two mountains closest to us. They are a grImageeat place to take the family too. Kids can stay and enjoy the bunny hills and not feel too intimidated by the new experience.

Another great experience to try is learning to ice skate, if you don’t already and going to see the rink at Campus Martius in downtown Detroit. If you don’t want to go all the way to Detroit to try and ice skate, look for the closest ice rink in your area. The tickets for both are fairly inexpensive. Check out the websites linked for more information on prices.

If you are looking for something fun to do this winter that doesn’t involve spending any money find a local hill that is used to sled and bring something sled like. Many people have something you could at least borrow that can act as a sled for a day. If you see a bunch of snow accumulate don’t stay inside try and make a snow man, it’s not just for kids.

Service Specialties II, Inc. hopes you have a great winter. Remember that just because its cold, it doesn’t mean you can’t do something fun!
